Abstract

This current paper compiles the 20th installment of these lists of new taxa. It includes 501 records with 378 species, 55 genera or subgenera, 43 suprageneric categories and 25 subspecies published in 251 papers, mainly in 2015 and 2016. Also included are those previously published records that had not been included in the previous compilations. All of them have been described in the geographical area under review and near abyssal bottoms, or its known distribution includes it; likewise, when the higher rank include taxa present in that region.
