Two specimens of Terebellidae from the Chafarinas Islands housed in the collections of the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales, Madrid, have been reexamined and assigned to Phisidia oculata (Langerhans, 1881). This is, therefore, the first record of the taxon after original description; specimens are described and morphological characters useful to distinguish Phisidia from other cogeneric species and sibling genera are highlighted; a synoptic table with the main morphological characteristics of the species of the genus is also included.
