Focus and Scope

Graellsia is a journal published by CSIC and edited by the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales with the collaboration of the Sociedad de Amigos del MNCN. The journal name honours Mariano de la Paz Graells. For 44 years the journal was devoted to Iberian entomology, but in 1987 it started publishing papers on zoology in general. More recently Graellsia has restricted its scientific scope and currently publishes original and unpublished scientific works on Zoological Diversity including taxonomic, faunistic, biogeographic, chorological, evolutionary and natural history and conservation studies. Notes, news and book reviews are also published in the corresponding sections.

Founded in 1943 it began to be available online in 2010, in PDF format, maintaining printed edition until 2014. That year it became an electronic journal publishing in PDF, HTML and XML-JATS. Contents of previous issues are also available in PDF files.
