Presence of Polydrusus (Polydrusus) sparsus Gyllenhal, 1834 in the Iberian Peninsula (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae)

The weevil Polydrusus (Polydrusus) sparsus Gyllenhal, 1834 is recorded for the first time for the Iberian Peninsula based on 35 specimens that were found in the North of La Rioja Autonomous Community (Spain), being the westernmost record in Europe. Aspects of the habitat, biology, and distribution of the species are discussed.
