Abstract

The Nearctic leafhopper Jikradia olitoria (Say, 1831), introduced into Europe and recorded so far from Italy, Corsica and Austria, was found for the first time in Spain. Furthermore, its occurrence in France and Switzerland is documented both by findings and by tracking via internet photo sharing websites. Its European distribution is updated. Morphology, habitat, and potential phytosanitary issues are explained and discussed.
