Abstract

New records on the distributional range of 3 species of the genus Limnebius Leach and 9 species of Ochthebius Leach belonging to the subgenera Asiobates Thomson and Ochthebius Leach in the Iberian Peninsula are given. Three new records are specially relevant to the knowledge of the Iberian hydraenid fauna: Ochthebius (Asiobates) bicolon Germar, 1824, collected in the provinces of Soria and Cuenca, which represent the first confirmed records for this species in Spain, Ochthebius (Asiobates) figueroi Garrido, 1990 reported for Cuenca and, finally, the confirmation of the presence in the Iberian Peninsula of Ochthebius (Ochthebius) pusillus Stephens, 1835.
