Seven new species of the Genus Geocharis Ehlers, 1883 are described from Cádiz, Spain (3 species: Geocharis notolampros sp. n., G. fenestrate sp. n., Geocharis bifenestrata sp. n.) and Morocco (4 species: G. montecristoi sp. n., G. juncoi sp. n., G. liberorum sp. n., G. testatetrafoveata sp. n.).
Descriptions of the previously known species, Geocharis massinissa (Dieck, 1869) and G. korbi (Ganglbauer, 1900) are also included.
Three species: Geocharis raclinae Antoine, 1962; G. elegantula Antoine, 1962 and G. mussardi Antoine, 1962 are proposed as Incertae sedis.
The use of some morphological features and their systematic value are discussed. Genitalia, chaetotaxy and sexual dimorphism are not subject to variability, and thus are very good diagnostic characters. On the other hand, biometry and labium morphology need a deeper study to determine their usefulness.
